HOW-TO
How to add someone to your Meta Business Suite.
When a new team member or a marketing partner needs to work on your Facebook Page or ads, you add them to your business portfolio. Being added is only half of it, though. They also need to be assigned to the specific assets they'll work on, or they'll log in and see nothing.

How to do it
01
Open your business settings
Go to business.facebook.com and sign in. Check the dropdown in the top left to make sure the right business portfolio is selected, then click the gear icon at the bottom left to open Settings.
business.facebook .com→ Settings (gear)
02
Go to People and invite
In the left menu under Users, click People, then click Invite people. In the older settings view the button reads Add people. Same thing.
Users → People → Invite people
03
Enter their email and pick a level
Type the email address connected to their Facebook login. Choose Partial access for staff and freelancers. Only choose Full control for a business owner or partner, because it lets them manage everyone else.
Tip. Use the email tied to their personal Facebook account. The invite has to be accepted with that login, so a work email that isn't connected to Facebook will leave them stuck.
04
Assign the assets they'll work on
Pick an asset type, such as Pages or Ad accounts, tick the specific ones, then turn on the tasks they can do (Content, Messages, Community activity, Ads, Insights). This is the step people skip. Without it, the invite gets them in the door but nothing to look at.
Assign assets → Pages → tick your Page → choose tasks
05
Send the invitation
Click Send invitation. They'll get an email and need to accept it. Their name shows as Invited in your People list until they do.
Careful. Full control lets someone add and remove other people, remove assets, and remove you. Give it only to people who own or run the business.
HOW TO KNOW IT WORKED
Settings > People shows the person as active with their assigned assets listed underneath. If they still show as Invited after a few days, resend the invite from the same screen.
