How to do it

01

Prepare the file

Open your list and check that each contact has an email or a phone number. That's how the CRM spots duplicates. Save or download it as a CSV.

Tip. Do a test import with five to ten rows first to check the column mapping before you import the whole list.

02

Open the importer

In PRYNT CRM go to Contacts and click the Import icon at the top of the list. Choose Contacts (or Contacts and Opportunities if you also want deals created) and click Next. If you're unsure how to lay out your file, click Download Sample File and copy its column headers.

03

Upload and choose how to handle matches

Upload your CSV. Choose Create to only add new contacts, Update to only change existing ones, or Create and Update for both. If you're updating, tick Don't update Empty Values so blank cells in your file don't erase data you already have.

04

Map the colums

Match each column in your file to the CRM field it belongs to: First Name, Email, Phone, and so on. Skip any column that doesn't fit, or create a custom field for it.

05

Tag the batch and import

Add a tag such as imported-aug-2026 so you can find this batch later, then click Import.

Careful. Update and Create and Update overwrite existing contact data wherever a mapped column has a value, and there's no single undo button. Always tag the batch and keep a copy of your original file.

HOW TO KNOW IT WORKED

Go to Contacts, Bulk Actions, find your import and click Show Stats to see how many were created, updated, or failed. If any failed, download the error log from the Error tab. Then filter Contacts by your import tag and spot check a few.
